From Comcast To Dish Network

I have been a Comcast cable user for the past 10 years. I was pleased with Comcast and it’s services, however, the price was just too expensive for me to keep up with. The monthly bill was a big strain on my wallet and I wanted to look for different options. It was this strain that caused me to switch to the Dish Network.

I went online to www.dishnetwork.com to find out more about satellite TV as I knew very little. I quickly learned that Dish offers much lower prices than Comcast which quickly attracted me. The prices Dish Network offered were very affordable and I knew it would eliminate the money strain I was feeling. The next week I had a Dish Network employee come to my house to install my Dish. The employee was very kind and did his work in excellent time. Great service !

I’ve been using Dish Network for about a month now and it has worked very well. I get more channels through Dish than I did with Comcast, and at a lower price. I am a big football fan, and Dish Network offers me a wide variety of sports channels to watch. This was an option that Comcast could not offer. Dish Network also offers me a lot more movie channels. While Comcast had these movie channels, they charged a lot of extra money to view them. Dish offered them all for one low price.

Contrasting many of these benefits, there are a couple of disadvantages to being a satellite tv subscriber – storms ! Bad storms can cause the reception to get fuzzy and even sometimes completely go out. This has been annoying since my town has been experiencing bad weather lately. Another thing I miss about Comcast was its On Demand feature. On Demand allowed me to watch many TV shows and movies any time I would like. This was a very convenient service as it allowed me to not schedule my activities around that of TV programming. Dish Network does not offer that same service. I can still record shows through their DVR’s, but On Demand was much easier and less work.

Aside from these disadvantages, the main thing Dish Network offers is a wider selection of channels for a cheaper price. I recommend their services for this reason. Its advantages highly outweigh its disadvantages and offer a better, more economical TV viewing experience than Comcast.
