Appearance- The Samsung SCX 4521 printer is relative compact and light for a multi-function device measuring in at 14.5×17x14.7 inches and weighing an approximate 10 kilograms. Quality expectations- At a very affordable price of US$250.00 you can expect that there must be something missing or lacking to the machine. Unfortunately the lack is in the form of print quality. No warm-up time necessary with first print or copy popping out at a super fast 11 seconds from standby mode

Operating systems- All major operating systems are accepted by the printer and software, including Windows, Linux and Apple Macintosh. Super news for both Apple and Linux users who often struggle with system compatibility issues.

Little loud- Users often complain about the printer being extremely noisy. There is nothing at all that you can do to reduce the noise level thus if you are sound sensitive or quickly irritated rather opt for another model Samsung as this one will drive you up the walls.

Connecting- The designers struck good balance between dated and out dated technology options by providing users with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compatibility and Parallel port options. Cables are not included with the printer, so order yours well in advance. Ethernet is available as an optional extra if you plan to use the printer in network environment.

Possible problems- Scan quality is terrible with uneven contract areas on the scanned document. The output paper tray has a tendency to spill prints in large quantities. Paper jamming is also a common problem encountered with the printer. Fixing the problem is quick and easy with no need for total dismantling of the printer due to the ease of paper access.
